The Communications Systems and Spectrum Division (CSSD) is focused on researching and developing world-class communication platforms and solutions for use in Tactical environments and real-time visualization software to facilitate Mission Planning. Four primary technology areas are combined to provide the essential elements required by tomorrow’s warfighter: advanced communications systems, intelligent networks adapting to real-time environmental data, virtualized networks and sophisticated visualization capabilities.  Combining cutting-edge software defined radio (SDR) platforms, EW capabilities, in-house secure laboratories and real-world RF deployment expertise, CSSD aggregates these technologies while also leveraging technologies from leading commercial solutions such as 5G / 6G to provide warfighters with relevant and real-time information in order to succeed in their missions.
